Lewis Hamilton fastest again in China GP Free Practice 3

Lewis Hamilton headed Jenson Button to a McLaren one-two in final practice at the Chinese Grand Prix.



Hamilton, who has been in impressive form, was 0.123 seconds quicker than Button and nearly half a second ahead of Mercedes' Nico Rosberg in third.


The German's team-mate Michael Schumacher was fourth, ahead of Red Bull's Mark Webber and Pastor Maldonado's Williams.


World championship leader Fernando Alonso was only 15th in the Ferrari.


Hamilton, who could have been even faster had he not made mistakes on his fastest lap, looks a strong bet to be fastest in qualifying later on Saturday, but will not be able to take pole position.


The 2008 world champion will be demoted five places on the grid because the team have had to change his gearbox after discovering damage in it and realising it would probably not last the race.
